It’s Getting Cold in Bavaria – First Snow Expected

Time to start thinking about wrapping up...

Although the first snow in Bavaria already fell in the first days of September at Germany’s highest mountain peak (Zugspitze 2.962 meters – we are aware that the vast majority of visitors to Total-Munich.com are visiting the site for its well-researched articles and their educational value), meteorologists expect the first snow at lower altitudes (600 meters) in Northern Bavaria for later this week.

Temperatures throughout the Freistaat (Free State) are expected to barely reach two digit Celsius values this week, with the highest possibility of snowfall on Wednesday. This will mean that Total- Munich.com founder Paul Bradbury will go straight from linen shirts and shorts to winter gear, as he moves from the sunny Croatian island of Hvar to the third largest city of Germany.
