According to Italian media, the former Real Madrid, PSG and Chelsea coach Carlo Ancelotti is being lined up to take over for Pep Guardiola at the FC Bayern Munich. The same sources in Italy have information that Guardiola will replace Manuel Pellegrini at Manchester City, as rumoured for quite some time.

FC Bayern officials are reportedly still trying to persuade Guardiola to stay. Franz Beckenbauer has been quoted saying: “Guardiola and the FC Bayern are the perfect fit”. Guardiola's contract at Bayern is due to expire at the end of the current season. The Catalan is reported to have already agreed terms on a contract to take over as manager of Manchester City next season.
