In Italy, Munich (Monaco di Baviera on Italian) is considered to be the northernmost Italian city. No wonder that there’s a host of Italian bars offering excellent espresso, but also plenty of other coffee varieties. Our first suggestion is the Bar Centrale (Ledererstr. 3, 80331 Munich) where you can also get a Tiramisu with your coffee or have a pasta meal. The Centrale is open from 7:30am until 1am of the following day. The Lederer Street in general is a good place if you’re looking for good coffee and company. Get a feeling for the Centrale.
The Aroma Kaffeebar (Pestalozzistr. 24, 80469 Munich) is another place where they take their coffee very seriously. They also offer a fine selection of Quiches, Sandwiches, Pasta and Cake. If you are invited to a party and are looking for a little something to bring along (and are out of scented candles to pass on) you might find something nice(r) here. The Kaffeebar is also not a bad place to meet people.
No matter how rainy it may be outside, the Schneewittchen (Snow White) (Am Glockenbach 8, 80469 Munich) will make it feel like spring on a nice (white) terrace the moment you enter. The family (playground nearby) and bio oriented coffee place even has a little fair-trade-shop in the back. But don’t worry, not everyone that visits the Schneewittchen has knitted their own sweater. The Schnewittchen is open from 10am until 7pm, except for Mondays. Then it sleeps.
