In Munich the Money is on the Streets - Literarily

By  Monday, 26.10.2015, 12:12    General News

Since last Wednesday the money in Munich is on the street. Literarily. But it will be there only until later today (Monday, October 26). We would have informed you earlier, but the money is tight with start-ups like total-munich.com...

Another start-up, WeltSparen.de, has scattered 5.000 Euros in coins throughout the city, with graffiti-like paper arrows leading to and pointing at heaps of coins (from 1 cent coins to 2 € coins) at Munich’s streets, squares and even backyards, put there to be picked up by passers-by. The company aims at rising awareness that, even at times when interest rates are at their lowest levels, it pays to save money. Especially so with WeltSparen.de.

Today the coins will be at Münchner Freiheit and at the Odeonsplatz, but today they are glued to the pavement in order to symbolize that you have to put effort into saving money.
