According to data from Federal and the police of the Free State of Bavaria, 15,000 refugees and migrants came into Germany from the border with Austria over the past weekend. Around 6,000 of them came on Saturday and 9,000 more on Sunday. None of the refugees and migrants had to spend the night from Sunday to Monday under the sky, all were accepted at shelters, not so the night before. With winter around the corner, Amnesty International on Saturday warned of a humanitarian disaster if migrants are stranded at borders.
Experts from the Ministry of the Interior said today that they are expecting similar numbers of people per day to cross the border into German in the coming days. Germany expects up to a million refugees and migrants this year.
