Islamic State Suspect Arrested at Munich Airport

German Federal Criminal Police officials have arrested an Islamic State suspect at the airport in Munich on Friday, November 6 upon his arrival to Germany. The 31-year-old is said to have looked after new arrivals in Syria and instructed them on weapons and booby traps. An arrest warrant had been issued in October. Ali R. is a German citizen from Berlin.

Germany's domestic intelligence agency (BfV) estimates that some 700 German citizens have joined Islamic State in Iraq and Syria.
