Primark to Pay 8 Million Euros a Year in Lease for First Munich Store?

TZ.de and merkur.de report that the rumours regarding the Irish Primark fashion store opening their first store in downtown Munich might be true. Reconstruction within the 6.800 square meter large (on four flours) space on the left side of the Joseph-Pshorr-Haus (Neuhauser Straße 19) is well underway, as you can see on the video below, but there is still no confirmation that Primark will pay the 8 million euros a year in lease.

As we have written before, Primark moving into the 1A location space would make many teenagers happy. On the other hand, some retailers at the Neuhauser and Kaufinger streets fear that the “discount-oriented” store would harm their image.
