The first Christmas markets in Munich are set to open today, while stalls at almost all of the market in and around the state capital will be open from Friday, November 27. Christmas atmosphere surrounds the visitor at each of Munich’s over 130 Christmas markets, an experience for the whole family that should not be missed. The markets are called either Christkindlmarkt or Weihnachtsmarkt, which practically means the same and each organiser can decide how to name the festive event.
The radiant lights and the first decorated Tannenbaums (fir trees line) can already be enjoyed at the stalls of the 7th Bogenhauser Christmas Magic Forest (Bogenhauser Weihnachtszauberwald). The cosy Christmas market invites young and old to take a stroll, marvel, feast and stay between warmly glowing pagodas and traditional wooden huts. The market is open from today and every day until December 23 from 11am to 8:30pm at the area in front of the Cosimabad (U4 Arabellapark, Ausgang Ost).
