The Vienna Boys' Choir at the Prinzregent Theatre on December 2

Founded over half a millennium ago, the Vienna Boys' Choir is the most famous boys' choir in the world. The approximately 100 choristers between the age of 10 and 14 years are organized into four touring choirs which give around 300 concerts a year - nearly half a million people see and hear the choir live each year.

touring is part of the chorister's education. Since 1926, the Vienna Boys Choir has undertaken around 1000 tours in 97 different countries; in that time, the boys have sung more than 27.000 concerts. Together with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra and the Vienna State Opera Chorus, the boys provide the music for the Sunday Mass in the Imperial Chapel, as they have done since 1498.

Your next chance to see them live in Munich during Christmas season is on Wednesday, December 2 at the Prinzregenttheater (Prinzregentenplatz 12, 81675 Munich) and some (not very good) tickets are still available for less than 50 euros from Muenchenticket.de.
