A 26-year-old motorcyclist has been clocked 26 times within a few weeks at Munich’s Richard Strauss Tunnel. He seemed to be confident that the police couldn’t read his license plate, but Munich’s traffic police recognised a pattern and finally caught the biker.
The Honda CBR 600 driver has earned himself 47 points in Flensburg (where records are being kept, 8 points suffice to lose your licence for a year) and a 4.180 euro speeding ticket.
The speed limit in the tunnel is 60 km/h, the top speed clocked for the young man was 116 km/h.
