It’s Official: Guardiola Leaving – Ancelotti Coming

By  Sunday, 20.12.2015, 19:43    Bayern Munich

It’s official now, FC Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge told Bild newspaper today that coach Pep Guardiola will leave Germany’s Rekordmeister at the end of the current season. He will be replaced by another great coach, the Italian Carlo Ancelotti (former coach of Real Madrid, PSG, and Chelsea amongst others), will take over for the Spaniard. Guardiola will most likely replace Manuel Pellegrini at Manchester City after leaving Munich.

Guardiola will be remembered in Germany for drawing even more attention to German club football. Even though the Catalan is one of the most respected coaches of the past decade, in order to join the most successful coaches of the FC Bayern Munich, he would have to win this year’s Champions League.
