Munich is celebrating the ninth consecutive year of new records in baby births. 17.143 little Munichers were born in 2015, 693 more than in the previous year, which is an increase in births of over 4 %.
Of the 17.143, there were 8.739 boys and 8.404 girls. By month, most of the babies were born in September (1.911), the fewest were born in February (988).
