The 183rd Oktoberfest is only eight months away. This year the beer festival will take place from Saturday, September 17 to Sunday, October 2. Today (January 29) the City of Munich decided on the artwork of the official 2016 Oktoberfest poster. The authors of the artwork are Susanna Schneider and Linda Sophia Schultheis, both students of the Design School Munich. They won the annual Oktoberfest artwork contest.
The design will now be seen on some 10 000 promotional items and also adorns the official Oktoberfest beer stein. The design shows the famous Oktoberfest beer motifs, pretzels and gingerbread heart and against a pink ferris wheel on pink background.
