Registration for the spring semester at the Munichadult education centre Münchner Volkshochschule (MVHS) begins on February 1. The focus of the courses this semester will be learning German and other languages. If you already speak some German, you can take courses in Bavarian dialect, cuisine, and beer, since this year the 500 year jubilee of the German Reinheitsgebot will be celebrated. Regular courses in the fields of languages, art, culture, creativity, culinary courses and cultures, natural sciences, professions, etc. will also be held.
Around 3,000 freelance lecturers from virtually all academic disciplines, vocational groups and artistic niches give courses at the MVHS. They are held at locations all over the city in more than 30 dedicated teaching facilities, in neighbourhood centres, in the Ecologic Education Centre of the MVHS, in the Haus Buchenried Seminar Centre by Starnberger See and in some 60 schools in Munich.
Learning German at the MVHS
The intensive and standard courses are suited to all those who wish to acquire language skills, who are only staying in Munich for a short time or who are students or au-pairs. Courses are held in the mornings, afternoons and evenings at all levels - from A1 for beginners through to C2 for perfectionists.
Internationally recognised language examinations and online courses are offered. There are “German at the workplace” seminars as a choice for all those who are looking for a new job or wish to advance in their jobs.
Further information on the intensive and standard courses is available by telephone (0 89) 4 80 06-61 69 or at www.mvhs.de/deutsch.
The integration courses run by the Münchner Volkshochschule are targeted especially at immigrants. You can choose between three different types of courses to suit your own background knowledge. Special courses for women, parents, young people and those who want to learn the Latin script complement the range. The integration courses run by the Münchner Volkshochschule are oriented to the guidelines issued by the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees.
