The German National Tourist Board (GNTB) annually carries out an online-poll in order to determine the Top 100 attractions of the country. In 2015, 13 Attractions and Sights located in Munich made it to the list and the Free State of Bavaria is home to a third of the listed attractions!

Oktoberfest (14), the Allianz Arena (36), the Marienplatz (44), the Englischer Garten park (59), the Olympiapark (63), the Hofbräuhaus, the Viktualienmarkt the Alte and Neue Pinakothek (all at 70), the Deutsches Museum and the BMW-Welt (both 80), the Frauenkirche and the Nymphenburg Castle (both 88).
