Five flamingos are currently visiting the Forggensee Lake near the Bavarian town of Füssen in front of Neuschwanstein Castle and snow covered hilltops these days. In the past, the exotic birds were repeatedly sighted at lakes and other Bavarian waters.

Experts believe that the flamingos escaped captivity at zoos and are now enjoying their freedom, Bild.de reports. Reportedly there now are even wild flamingos living in the Bavarian region of Upper Palatinate (Oberpfalz).
