Surfing has become a part of Munich’s culture. In Below video California-based filmmaker Matt Payne tells the story of Munich. He catches up with local Quirin Rohleder, who began surfing at the Eisbach in Munich when he was a kid.

Rohleder explains the nuances of the Eisbach and how his and other local surfers’ – like Toa Schirrmacher and Christian Bach – daily habit of surfing has become a part of Munich’s culture.
