Munich's Atelier restaurant is part of Germany’s most successful hotel, the Hotel Bayerischer Hof. The restaurant is the latest Munich restaurant to earn two Michelin restaurant guide stars. Head chef Jan Hartwig, restaurant manager Talisa Bernthaler and their teams turn culinary perfection into a fine art. The design, which is the brainchild of Belgian art dealer Axel Vervoordt, exudes the luxurious and tasteful flair of an artist’s atelier combined with an intimate atmosphere.
The Hotel is located at the start of a pedestrian arcade with exclusive shops and in the banking/business district. All major sights in walking distance: Cathedral Church of Our Lady (Frauenkirche), Viktualienmarkt square, the opera, museums, the Residenz Palace and the Hofgarten Park.
The restaurant stands for creative and seasonal gourmet cuisine of the highest order, with sun terrace. Tucked away behind a mobile wall designed Dirk Vander Eecken, you will discover a cosy private room and a terrace nested in Amur maple, known as the silent garden. A five course menu at the Atelier is simply called Atelier Five and costs around €140, the seven course menu is the Atelier Seven and costs some €180.
