The Acetaia restaurant in Munich Neuhausen-Nymphenburg is one of the best Italian restaurants in the Bavarian capital and is also counted to the 20 best Italian restaurants in Germany. It is also one of the best places of the city for a romantic dinner, but the German Manager Magazin, which is oriented towards the business clientele, also has the place on its list. The Acetaia owes its name to a special way of refining its food: on every table you will find a miniature barrel of aceto balsamico, aged in premium wooden barrels which give the meals their distinctive taste.
The Acetaia stands for classic Italian cuisine with a twist. The menu offers a combination of classic Italian food and an exclusive selection of wines from the best vineyards of various regions, ranging from Piemont to Sicily. All meals are of artful preparation. Fish varies from perch filet to catfish, with subtly harmonized side orders.
The meat menu offers e.g. wild boar médaillons with raspberry agretto and red onions or pink roasted lamb with sweet and sour pepper and marinated fennel. The exclusive menu and wine list is seasonally attuned to the gourmet’s palatal. The repertoire of Chef Giorgio Maetzke comprises antipasti and dolci as well as traditional pasta. A five course menu costs some €60 without drinks, but you can also have sepia risotto for two persons for €16.50 and other a la carte meals.
