The next in our Italian restaurants in Munich series is the Ristorante Galleria. It too is listed among the 20 best Italian restaurants in the whole country by German gourmet magazine Feinschmecker. It is located about halfway from the Marienplatz and the Hofbrauhaus and is one of the most popular Italian restaurants of the city.
The colourfully decorated restaurant offers an excellent alternative for lunch in the city if you are in the mood for lighter cuisine than the Bavarian. The prices at the Ristorante Galleria are very reasonable for a restaurant with such a kitchen, location and ambience. A two-course lunch menu during lunchtime from Monday to Friday costs only €16 and three-course menu costs €25. In the evening a five-course menu costs €59, six courses €69 and seven courses €79. The wine and all extras are pricy, so be careful. The atmosphere is casual.
The creative Chef, Andrea Pomiato Colesso, has experience from various Michelin star decorated restaurants, while the owner Maria Grazia De Luca takes care of everything else at the restaurant. The choice of wine is also excellent. You can book a table online from the restaurants website, unfortunately there is no menu available in English online.
