Two new bus lines will begin operating in Munich tomorrow, Monday, May 30, 2016 the Munich Transport Corporation and the City of Munich announced Friday, May 27. The new lines will have the numbers 150 and 180. In the northern part of Munich, the 180 will connect 5 U-Bahn stations and three city districts. The line 150 will connect the main rail station (Hauptbahnhof) with the University campuses and the English Garden Park.
The 180 will run from the Westfriedhof to Kieferngarten and connects the five U-Bahn stations Westfriedhof (U1/U7), Georg-Brauchle-Ring (U1), Olympiazentrum (U3/U8), Am Hart (U2) and Kieferngarten (U6). The bus line will operate from Monday – Friday from 5:30am until 9:45pm and leave every 20 minutes. On Saturdays it will be available from 6am – 9pm, also every 20 minutes.
The bus line 150 will also begin from Monday and connect the main rail station with the Universities in Maxvorstadt and Schwabing and end at the English Garden. In part it shares the routes of the StadtBus 100 and the StadtBus 154 lines and will be introduced to serve especially University students who commute between the locations at the Theresienstrasse and the Oettingenstraße. The buses will drive from 6am – 10pm every 10 minutes.
