This morning, Monday, August 8, 2016 was the first morning Munichers had to cope with the new roadwork on the Isarring, today’s Abendzeitung-muenchen.de already called it a “Mega-Stau” (mega traffic jam. And things are about to get even worse when school begins again in September.
Until mid-October, the Isarring will be narrowed to only one track, while a third is being constructed. All is happening at the spot where there daily traffic jams anyway, even without any road work going on.
The City of Munich has therefore asked commuters to switch to public transport, if possible, or at least to form carpool with colleagues.
